In India the Great Goddess in general is often referred to as Devi. Devi is the sum of all manifestations or forms of the Mother. I like to often take ideas from Different ancient symbolism. They become more engaging and carry a deeper connection to the history in the imagery of the painting.
This is an exploration of humor and language which is connected to a larger body of etchings I have been making since 2011. With this print I tried to push the technical side of etching. When printing multiple colors you need to use three individual copper plates which is time consuming but ultimately worth the results.
This Installation was an exploration of visual dominance within a space. I produced 500 porcelain diamonds, covered them in a red florescent paint, and displayed them under black lights. This created a visually stunning environment and overall a successful step in the project.
This etching is a homage to my youth and the video game culture. This was the first print of a series that I have been revisiting since 2017.

In the summer of 2011 I spent a month painting the Cliffs of Mohor in Ireland. These breathtaking cliffs are overwhelming in stature and were the inspiration for these two pieces.
